I wish I was in California. I’m horrified by what happened at Davis and Cal and so proud of the students. Have you seen the silent protest/Chancellor’s walk of shame on youtube? Incredible and intimidating how many students are lined up, so eerily quiet in their disgust and disapproval.
Being at a swanky private university in Miami is awesome, but it also goes against the environment I was used to at a California State. I miss seeing faculty and student protests, because those protests made me grateful that someone real was protecting the ability to access education that is constantly being threatened.
My heart goes out to the students in California. Continue to be a role model, using your education to make a difference for the future!
Also, I hate watching the news.
Republican candidates this time around are even more out of touch than I can even remember. The disdain they have for the working class and students is absolutely repugnant.
