Toner is still my best friend! My skin feels a million times better—my pores have returned to their normal, less noticeable size!
That’s not the purpose of this post though.
This post is to introduce my new babies! Ideeli had a major sale. I went for it, and I’m glad I did, because the economy is just going to keep sucking and my dollars will really be going to the most basic needs.
These babies are United Nude Block Shoes with ankle straps. Don’t look online for how much they cost and judge me. I promise I didn’t pay that much!
They are my first pair of United Nude shoes, and I promise they won’t be my last, because they are the most comfortable 4.5 inches I’ve ever worn without a platform. The leather feels very high quality—no noticeable stitches/seams. The block isn’t brown wood, which is what I REALLY want (the Block Shoes in the mid-heel 2.5” height). But it still looks like the shoe is sitting on a big block. So cool! It’s classic, but still a little unusual, which is how I like all my things.
The shoes come with extra rubber pads for the heels and two shoe sleeves for packing/storage, which is really useful. The box also came with a booklet of the Summer 2011 season shoes.
I’d have to say, these shoes would probably look better on a girl with longer legs—mine are a bit short and curvy. Ankle straps might make them look stumpy. As long as I wear these with really short skirts or long pants, I should be ok. A mid-length would really kill the look. But it’s all about carrying myself with confidence!!
These shoes are super urban looking. The straps are not delicate. It’s a bit S&M.
I can also wear the shoes without straps for more demure events. Anyway, I don’t really have black shoes (the last pair that I bought are incredibly painful and only for sit down events) so I’m very excited to have these.
The next shoes on my United Nude wishlist:
